Acrylic on (big) canvas. You can't tell here, but I used modeling paste to add texture to the big cliff in the foreground.

Wow, that critique is really harsh, and I totally disagree with it.  I love your water - the colour is beautiful, the waves are great and doesn't that reviewer know that the ocean really IS BIG and does contain a LOT of water - duh!  Oh and that rock sure got my attention - OK, being a geologist I am biased, but hey - there are a lot of geologists here in Calgary that would agree with me and would be drooling all over your wonderful rock.  In summary - I love it, and you did a great job on it.

Thanks for your comments ... I like how this rock turned out too.  I used modelling paste to give it alot of texture, it worked quite well.  But i had this critiqued professionally and was told there is too much water, my horizon line is not straight and there is not enough happening in the picture to 'hold' the viewer  ...  but i still like it.   So, thanks again, (maybe ill have you critique all my stuff, lol :)

Beautiful picture - especially the rock.
