Thank you very much, Casey! I appreciate it. I like your different style, also!
One of my favorites.
Sharon, I understand your point. The most important is that you know the subject better than any body else and how you feel about it. If you followed whatever we suggested you may wind up a massy picture.
Love your rooster Sharon. My son has chickens and this pose is so typical especially when they are eyeing you up to see whether there is food on offer!! Your colours are lovely :)
Li, thanks for suggestions, but I like the rooster as is. I actually copied a photo that I took of a real rooster and this was the pose! Of course the feathers are in back of his head! lol :) Patricia, I do not remember who "liked" my first photos but it doesn't matter. I would love to win Richard's painting, but the one with the most likes wins it and well deserves it.
The perspective looks so much better now Sharon...
However, If you are going to rework the rooster as Li suggested, I would also touch up the background a bit. Bring down a bit of the green in the background, so the purple colour doesn't look like a straight strip.
It is more pleasing to the eye, for shapes to look organic. Also remember to use uneven spaces between the green bits of trees... It's looking better with every touch up and the colour harmony is improving also... Well done!
Do you remember who liked your previous pictures?? If you do maybe you could ask them to relike again... :))
Sharon, I like this one, The composition, color contrast, the forms of those chickens, the perspectives, all beautifully done. The only thing, if I were you,I would errase the feathers at two sides of his crown and paint this tail at the left side of his neck, keep a small space between the neck ad tail. This would make him a more graceful post as his body towards right and his head turns to left. Aslo, it will avoid misunderstand that the feathers are from his head. Sharon, you still have time to change it before voting date, if you like the idea. Good luck.
Well, this is the last attempt for me, seeing it is the 21st of July and the weekend! :) But by uploading different times, I lost a coupld of "Like's" lol
