I also tried oils. Surrealism was the choice because I could add whatever I liked, in anyway I liked, without falling foul of the critics. This was my first real go. There are lots of other's in between.

Hi Patricia,

The story was the Earth drying out, through the suns activity. The Earth, top right, became barren and uninhabitable. During this period of solar activity, Mars warmed up. Mankind had no choice but to colonize there. An atmosphere developed, breathable, very similar to Earth, although lots of salts and minerals began to crystallize and take on huge forms. Man had brought his own plant and animal life too, which thrived after genetic modifications. It was all a bit primitive to start with but they soon got to grips and we survive...

All this was going on in my head during the late 70's early 80's. The next evolutionary step for us would be called the Genetic Age!, which is almost upon us...I was ahead of my time...
