This is a very powerful painting, Silvana. I especially like the sensitive way you handled the analogous colors and how those pale blue/green passages in the water make the whole painting sing. Bravo, Silvana!
Thank you Ssghi!
Thank you Walda! Someday I will try to paint in watercolour.. Just thinking about it makes me feel it's so impossible for me... I tend to correct and change many things, and I think it's impossible to do so in watercolour...!
Laura, Mario , THANK YOU!!!
great colors !!
Thanks Jim! When I look at my white paper or canvasbefore tackling the painting, I always wonder what the result will be... It's always a mistery! And as latey I am painting at night, with artificial and not very good light, in the morning the colours look also very different than what they looked like the day before...
Thank you Diane! I appreciate your comments! I think your suggestions will improve it a lot. Do you think U Blue with a little bit of red would be enough? And the sky, it is ochre, white and a little bit of that colour in the mountains. Will adding just white lighten it up positively? You know Diane, you should enter your painting of Tapeka point in this workshop! It's sooo beautiful!
Wow you have got great form of the rock. It is a great representation of the subject. I would like to have seen the sky even lighter and the base of the rock where it meets the water even darker to push the whole rock forward in the picture. A great painting Silvana however you have photographed it :)
