Hi Ethan
I am painting right now, have been up all night trying to get another before the deadline closes!
Think I have had a break through...........Smiles to you and you better get busy and finish this painting..........dor:))
Thanks Gina, still have to finish this painting. I guess I can blame my stigmatism that makes my vision stretch out objects I noticed like much of this painting compared to what is in the photo, funny thing is I sketched this painting out three quarters of the time without my glasses and the rest with my glasses which puts off my propotions here and their (I'll break out the proportional divider next time painting without glasses;) ). One positive, forgetting my glasses makes me a natural squinter which makes it effortless judging them values. Goderich is a great place to get in some decent landscape and Marine painting being on Huron, wouldn't mind getting in some marine painting myself.

Hi Ethan ... I'm a new member living in Goderich, On. I like this work very much. The grapes have a very translucent quality that gives them a juicy feel. I also like the limited pallette idea. In my opinion, the handle on the pitcher is a bit out of proportion but that's a small quibble. Cheers. Gina.
Thanks for the kind comments ladies. I was late for this project and not finished due to running around also my online courses in wet canvas i've signed up for has been put at the top of my to do lists for art.
Ethan, you just got it in by the skin of your teeth! I like the translucency and bloom on your grapes.
Very nice work! Fresh and clean, good colour contrast, very good design of dark and light. You skillfully make it very realistic. I started to work on my painting late, I showed my work on 22 and I just uploaded my final painting 1 hour ago. you hand in late too. Maybe next one we try manage to hand it in earlier so tnat other people will have more time to notice us and critique at our job.
Keep painting. This is wonderful...........dor:))
