I agree with Jim's comment, Britt, maybe that diagoanlm behind her head could be softened even more? Well done on controlling the values so well - backlighting like that is hard!

I love the CONTENT -- absolutely precious! -- but this is a terrific painting, too!  The girl pops out because you have diffused the focus in the background just a bit, and you added some back-lights in just the right amounts and locations.

I would have gone out and gotten her a real kitty, me thinks...   a real softy, I am...
