How would you categorize your painting style?: Realism/portraits, loose realism landscape/still life

Which medium do you prefer? eg. oils, acrylics, etc.: oil for painting, charcoal/pastel for drawing

Are you a full time artist?: Some Time

Who are your favourite 2 artists?: Sargent and Monet

Do you have any goals for your painting?: I would like to be able to sell some of my paintings for two reasons - 1) I would the external motivation to paint more and see some fruit from my efforts and to have some additional income, 2) I would like to see people enjoy my work, to see the fruit of my efforts bring joy and happiness to others in the same way art has enriched my life

Richard,

I am new to your site. I wanted to compliment you on the email to sent out today on motivation and the purpose of painting. It was insightful and written from the heart, something that is hard to do.

Thanks for all that you are doing to promote painting and help others learn.

Looking forward to leaning more about you and your style of painting.
