Nan, welcome to this site. Three tips for you: #1. Post your picture or an avatar--people are friendlier when they see a face. #2. Ask for help if you need it. If you are doing a competition workshop post it on the comment page for the workshop. If you are not going to compete yet, put a blurb about yourself in the forum under new members. #3. Post some photos of your work by pushing the Add + button under photos and in the comments ask for any help you want; artists on this site are friendly and helpful.
