Which medium do you prefer? eg. oils, acrylics, etc.: Lately, I have been working in watercolor, but have worked quite a bit in oils and acrylics.

Who are your favourite 2 artists?: Turner, Monet, and I love the way Richard Robinson paints.

Do you have any goals for your painting?: I really want to loosen up. Also, I need to work on brushstrokes and composition. Color theory is another area that I could use some help with. I have a great deal to learn, and that is my goal for this workshop.

Do find someone to go out painting with at home because it is so good for the body and soul. I am sure that you are under a lot of stress every day as a full time care giver to your husband. I have family in Orange County as well, so a workshop in Laguna or in Santa Cruz would be over the top. Have Karen join the TCA if she hasn't already-- I will look for her there. I haven't painted plein air, always live studio mostly. The florals are from long ago. I lost my youngest son almost 4 months ago and my trip to CA is to honor his request that I get back to painting, get healthy, be happy, and learn to laugh again. Tough assignment but giving it my best. Sure hope we get to see you in Paso. (Your work is lovely and interesting!)

I think Laura Xu is going to go to the course in SF. I don't know about Ann Turner and Michael Severin, but I will check with them. Those three are the only ones I have painted with. I think that I can talk my wife into coming to Paso with me, because the 26th is my birthday. I'll decide in the next couple of days, because I'm sure it will fill up fast.
