Hi Timothy, My eldest son is colour deficient red/green and is interested in art. I am interested in how you evolve with your paintings into the future because I believe many artists use too many colors anyway and dont pay enough attention to drawing. I might direct him your way to see what he thinks. Some of the nicest painings I've seen are dominant grey or brown or both with a touch of color, but composition and a story are in there, Terry (see included)

ha ha ha Timmothy.....I wish the heck I could decide on a direction to GO with my art. However, I am on a quest. My next attempt will be with some detail (as I think I do that better than my attempts at impressionestic). I am....hold your breath....going to try the Flemish Technique. Rembrandt stuff. OH MY. LOL I am a bit nervous and trying to be brave all at the same time. LOL Thank you for your nice comment on my gallery. I appreciate it very much. Ro

Tim, you may feel as tho you struggle, but the end result is good. It is not wasted paint.....it is the paint required for you to create your goal. Good job. Ro PS. Take the excess paint and prime your canvas (?) I, on purpose, tone my canvas colors before I paint. It has a good effect, because if you dont get the canvas covered completely and some of the "under coat" shows through, it just unifies the painting. Pretty cool. So far, I have toned my canvas dark blue, bt. sienna, and raw sienna. I have read about people toning their canvas red, green, and even orange. It all unifies the painting. No more wasted paint. By the way, about a year ago, I learned about taking left over bits of paint and scraping them up, then scraping the bits off on the edge of a small jar. Fill the jar with water where no oxigen can get to it.........best idea I have ever found to keep paint fresh and not drying out. You dont even have to put in the frig or the freezer. Again, Tim, your paintings are great. Keep up the good work. Ro

Hi, Timothy, Great gallery (welcome to the site). I love penquins, kittys, and our daughter and family are into English, polo, and cross country competitions. Your work is beautiful even though you say you have a problem seeing color.......believe me, you have overcome that beautifully! Ro

Peter, you don't have to apologize or offer a gift. I wasn't offended. I call and raise you any time when it comes to sarcasm or offbeat humor. I'm famous for it in my town ;)
