Another fantastic day - what did I do to get so lucky? Managed to get 2 paintings done today. This one of a snow frosted farm track (which was my favorite) and the one below of an old Barn we came across yesterday. Will post a better photo of the farm track painting tomorrow (hopefully) - it was dark again by the time I got home - another hard day at the office.

A lot more snow/frost first thing in the morning!

Great to be painting in a group.

'Winter Barn', Oil on Canvas Board, 10x8"

Ben Ho's painting - 24x18" (I think), oil on board.

Spot the differences here! Ben is a very experienced painter (obviously). When I compare the two paintings I can see just how 'safe' I was with my composition - Ben's design of light and dark is much more dramatic. Didn't manage to get a photo of Mary's painting, (will do tomorrow maybe), but it was very different again - amazing to see such big differences from 3 painter's standing only a few feet apart. That's the beauty of painting - it's your unique expression of reality.
