Hi All, another great day today at Waipu Cove. Got there early so managed to get two paintings done. What do you think of them?

All the best,

Hi Richard-

What first struck me was the accurate portrayal of the light - you not only get a feel of the place and atmosphere, but also the weather and the time of day.

I notice how the water, while loosely painted, conveys the transparency of the waves, and their 'wetness', in a way that is downright visceral.

Much looser than some of your previous ones.

Thanks Agnes, yes they're certainly not gallery prices. I price them so low because I don't really need the money, I don't sell them through galleries, I regard them as sketches most of the time, and I don't want them cluttering up the studio so the lower I price them the more space I have.

Mmm just as well you can't see my painting. Am enjoying sitting by mindless TV doing dark and light thumbnails. Think I have grasped the concept:) Still had a great day in the fresh air indulging my passion. Thanks

Thanks Diane for being my unwitting subject. Sorry about the goat legs!
