Hi All, another great day today at Waipu Cove. Got there early so managed to get two paintings done. What do you think of them?

What first struck me was the accurate portrayal of the light - you not only get a feel of the place and atmosphere, but also the weather and the time of day.

I notice how the water, while loosely painted, conveys the transparency of the waves, and their 'wetness', in a way that is downright visceral.

I price them so low because I don't really need the money, I don't sell them through galleries, I regard them as sketches most of the time, and I don't want them cluttering up the studio so the lower I price them the more space I have.
