Hi Karlo! Thanks for your comment. I re uploaded the pic as the resolution was too low, so I just took a pic of the area. Unfortunately, the commet got lost :(...hope you don't mind...!!!
Flemish.....I have a friend who does nothing but ocean paintings. When she enters them in judged shows she always places. Mostly 1st and one Best of Show. She says she always wins with the Flemish paintings.
Have a look at www.ArtPapa.com. He has 3 free tutorials on the left. Read those as it tells the why you do these steps. It is such an easy process.........just have more than 1 painting going at a time so you dont rush before the layer gets dry. Another good one is http://www.easy-oil-painting-techniques.org/ (Delmus Phelps) Just read on both of those sites and give one a try. It is so easy! smile Fast time is age related I think!!! LOL
Hi Karlo, Thanks for the comment on Memories of Fall. It is the technique (as I have attempted to learn) of the Flemish old masters way of doing things. I enjoy it a lot.
You know I had a difficult time with this re-do. Comments well placed mentioned that the rocks in the foreground blocked the pathway into the scene. So I got rid of them and doing so created a new flow of the water. I didn't know how to make it correctly move. My husband suggested it now was a larger jetty and make it just swirl around....oh, I tried! But I do like the openness more. I'll have to check out that book you mentioned...every little bit helps! Thanks again and have a wonderful holiday season! Peace to you and your family.
Thank you so much for 'liking' my Seascape. It means a lot coming from an artist as you are. You have some very dramatic and lively seascapes yourself! Lovely.
Karlo, thanks very much and I certainly accept. I like your work very much and I am glad to see you joining the monthly competitions. I know why your workshop painting is so good because you are painting a similarly dramatic coast line all the time. Stu
Karlo, I love your paintings! You paint the landscapes I love the most... Seas and Mountains. Seas, I have tried... Mountains , and with snow, I didn't dare yet... But your mountains are really impressive!
Karlo, the paraglider photos are amazing, thank you. I made the assumption (sorry) u were in a hot air balloon and someone sitting across from you was filming. I can't imagine the logistics of filming that great video and you were so calm and collected.

Karlo, the friend who won competitions using the Flemish Tech is Angela Smith. Not sure she is a member here.
Are you a member of I Draw and Paint? community.how-to-draw-and-paint.com
Here is her page on that site. It is all I could find of her work.

Brilliant artwork Karlo. Your seascapes are amazing.
Thank-you Karlo. I'm happy to be back here. Your paintings are beautiful, I especially love the water scenes. I have a difficult time with that!
