Thanks for the comment about my WIP of the roses. Yes, good paintings take time, and the Flemish method takes a lot of time, but I have never painted this way that I did not feel it was the best I had ever done. Really enjoy the process a lot. I will post the gray later when I finish that (WIP). smile Roena

Diane, the painting is still not dry completely and 3days later it will be taken away by the father of the girl. I uploaded it here as it is the only way to exhibit my labor of love. You satisfied my vanity and reward me of my hard work. I am very much appreciate it. Yes her father was very happy and his eyes was shining when he looked at the painting.
Thankyou for your offer of friendship, Diane! I would love to be your friend, and thankyou for your comments on my paintings. - I freaked out after I had drawn it on the canvas. - There I was, brush in hand, ready to start painting, excited that I'm FINALLY doing it, when I looked at the velvet, an suddenly realised I had absolutely no idea how to paint it! - And I'd never seen any velvet ever painted in another other painting, ever! - It was pure terror! all is well. - They're not so shiny now, after I've dismantled the still life! Hee, hee :)
Love your paintings, too. You live in such a beautiful part of the world. One day I'd love to be brave enough to jump in a plane and investigae it!
