Jim I think this is an awesomw painting, love the light at the top,(all your sunsets are great)Keep up the great work. Dorothy.....BTW I hope you frame this and hang it on your wall.
Thanks so much for your kind thoughts and be delighted to be your friend.
Also be very pleased to give any critiques and advice where I can on paintings and artwork. My style is very much using a limited pallet and therefore i tend to portray muted effects.... but what I really like on CA is the variety and depth of work, both in subject matter as well as colourisation...all good !!
You have a great style in your work and I can see that you really enjoy acrylics and what it gives. Unfortunately I'm a watercolour guy and wish that I had changed or at least given it a go!!
I am delighted to be your friend - you are very generous with your likes and comments -thank you! I enjoyed your page and love your paintings - am looking forward to participating with everyone - it's very inspiring!
I might have taken the wrong road to get this message to you (don't know where it landed in cyberspace) so forgive me if I am repeating myself.............
My joy comes when someone views my work and the work bridges the gap between us...
Thanks’ for your likes. Normally I loge in, first to my own page then to look who posted new paintings and if something catches my eye, to show my appreciation and sometimes leave a comment. But today I had to find out more about this man who seems to appreciate my work, so I spend time reading your Blogs which I really enjoyed reading. You are not only talented in fin arts but also an amusing writer. Thank you, I will make a point of looking in on you and you wonderful stories. Loved it!
Why thank you Jim and thank you for the friend request. I appreciate your comments. No I am not a professional, but I am hoping to become one sooner than later :)
I really like work work as well Jim. It is full of atmosphere and mistery. Do you work from life or mainly in the studio ?
Hi Jim, nice to meet you! I've only been to SF a few times but loved it! It's so crowded and expensive though so I can see why you left. Thanks for your comments about my style:)
Thank you Jim. I really need to get back here more often. I learned alot here and need to learn so much more. Sometimes, though, I just want to paint and learn the hard way. I think it is good that you paint sometimes without reference as you do. I obviously love to do that. My newest ones (upcoming) are really weird. I've actually been doing some commissions for some of the young airmen here in Germany. They have wild imaginations and I am trying to paint it for them. LOL We'll see how it turns out. See ya soon!!!
