Aloha everybody :)
Just wanted to introduce myself.
I am a 34 years old freelance illustrator from Germany. I studied Industrial Design and Animation movie, so I work mostly for the entertainment industry. That means, everything I draw and paint is just digital data/digital art (what gives you sometimes an empty feeling inside as artist).
Like most of my generation or the older ones, I started with pen & paper for sure, and I often miss it.
Most of my life, I was a drawer, I didn`t use color a lot.
6 or 7 years ago, I realized I HAVE to use color to get the jobs I want, so I started to paint (digital).
Like everybody I guess, I fell in love with color, but love is not always easy :) and so I still struggle a lot, especially in choosing a palette.
I love Richard`s way to create this color vibration, it makes me dreamy - I am also a lot attracted by impressionism.
After all that digital stuff, and after we moved to the countryside in our own house, where I have now space for my easel and a lot of colours, I was brave enough to dance again with the brushes, because this is what moves me most and makes me calmer than yoga.
I have not a lot of time, but I paint from time to time some brushstrokes, acrylic or watercolor.
We have a saying here, that is "Was lange währt, wird endlich gut." - I guess it is the same as "Good things come to those wo wait".
Oh, and plus....when I`m grown up, I want to be a painter :D
So Hi and hope to read you all here!Glad I can say Hello!
For the sake of completeness, here are the pages where I put my artwork on.
My Tumblr is more private, my official webpage is more job:

Nice to meet you, Fabia, and hear that you now have room for your easel :-) Same for me. My husband bought me a big easel years ago but there wasn't a good spot for it. Now it sits proudly in the kitchen waiting for duty. Like you, I don't always have a lot of time but when I do, I paint in acrylics. I'm still a beginner but getting better (I think.)
Hello to Northern Germany from the middle of Germany :-)
Hey Mimi, thanks for your Hello. I always thought that having no real space for an easel is probably just my own excuse for being afraid of white canvas. But it wasn`t. It is really liberating!
