Hi Colleen. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. I do like the painting of the yacht. You have really captured the movement and excitement of sailing. Pleased to have you as a friend. Cheers
Hi Colleen. Thanks for your kind words re the painting lessons. Yes I remember your visit. So pleased you enjoyed them. Hope you have lots of fun as you get back into the oils and acrylics. Cheers
Hi Colleen - Thank you - I'm very pleased to be one of your painting friends! The paintings you have posted here are lovely! You have such inspiring scenery in Australia!
I have just read your introduction! You have certainly arrived to the appropriate site!!!!!!!!
I love what you do with the caravan! It was and still is one of my dreams! Perhaps you should have small board so you camn make small paintings! I am saying this because it is sth I should learn... if I don't have at least 5 hours, I don't start a new painting....!!!!!
Certainly Richard's workshop will guide you. He is an excellent teacher and so are amany artists around here!!!
I am glad you like it!!!! :)! I would certainly choose acrylics unless you get a medium a lot of artists use, which is for making oils to dry faster. I think Water mixable oils also dry faster than the traditional ones... I have the traditional ones and they take quite long to dry, but,... they are easier to correct!
Thank you Colleen for 'liking' my Seascape. I appreciate it! Every little bit of encouragement helps! Welcome to the group. The members are really very nice and helpful!
For all that white underground in oils and acrylics, for me I have a nice working solution. I ground with a mixture of gesso tinted with yellow ocre and a little bit of middle read. This gives you a warm underground instead of the the very cold white.
Colleen, thanks for the artist-friend request! I look forward to seeing all of your future pieces; and your helpful comments on my pics. Happy holidays!
Dear Colleen, I am so happy to be invited as your friend , many thanks. I love your works very much, let's have a lot of fun of learning here. Merry Christmas!
I am delighted to be you friend Colleen - and you are not as far away as lots on the site! I look forward to being here with you - just wish there was more time in a day for it all!!
Hi Colleen, thank you for your introduction, it is enjoyable to get to know the other person´s background a bit and thank you for being my friend and your interest.
Colleen, I apologise for my tardiness in replying, I've been up to my eyebrows updating a website and have not visited this site as frequently as usual.
Wongawallan, isn't that somewhere near to Canungra?
Hi Colleen, Yes now I know where Wongawallan is, you live in a lovely part of the hinterland.
I live on the Glen Dora Estate, McDowall for the last 8 yrs, before that 35 yrs at Everton Park so I am definitely a North-sider....born in Ipswich but grew up all over the place due to my father's occupation as an engineer in QR.
Now the website is almost complete I intend splashing a lot more paint around again.

Many thanks Colleen.
Indeed I have a lot to learn from all the talented artists on this site.
I reproduce what is in front of me and only make some changes for compositional needs.
I see wonderful imagination and creativity here and want to loosen up and be more selective.
