    My wife and I also are fascinated with big (and small) cats because of their personalities and presence.  I could tell you study them because your anatomy and the pose was so representative of the cat.  My bucket list includes being able to rub heads with a big cat...odd yes, but it would be a memorable experience.  We recent watched a report which showed a "hunter" can-hunting lions.  It was heart-breaking.  The lions are conditioned to come on a signal from the guides so the "hunter" can bag his trophy.  In the scene, the best he could do was wound the animal so they had to track it down for the kill.  The guide then congratulated him on his kill.  Might as well have been shooting then lions in a zoo.  Awful.
