Thank you Gina, Mary, and Roena! I have glazed it to subdue the colors that move away from the sun and it looks better now. Thank you for your input!
Wow. This will wake you up but good. What a bright sky. You did very well I think. Nice.
Responding to the comments below, I would have to say that the mountains are actually my favorite part of this painting - I love the way you've done them. My offering of constructive criticism would be to perhaps have less of the bright yellow as the clouds move away from the sun. It's been a stretch for me, too, to do this project! You've done a great job.
I like the explosive quality of your sunset. The sky really is on fire.
Thanks Laura and Silvana. I wasn't sure how dark the mountain should be because I wanted the colors overhead to brighten them. Richard's demo showed the land real dark. I don't have much confidence in my sunset but it's a start. Will try some more sunsets in the near future. Love looking at all the sunset paintings from everyone!
I like it Linda! But perhaps the mountains are very light?... With not enough contrast?
Linda, I think you did good job on this one.
Thank you Michael. Some part I like and others I don't. To me it looks like fire coming behind the mountain :( Not sure if it has to do with brush stroke directions or too much or too little sun.
Great painting Linda!
