I happen to see this in the photos as they were sliding by and this grabbed my eye.  Had to log in to say very well done.

Not sure it is a problem, but curious what folks think or do with that technique. With acrylics, there's not much rubbing off! :) well, only if you are really fast!

Thank you Thomas and Deb!

I absolutely understand where you are coming from, Deb!  I can only say for myself that I really like the texture of the canvas, and that I like to use my warm underpainting for some of my highlights by rubbing off the paint on top with a rag, but that a master painter would likely consider that this is a technique problem to be addressed.

OK, this caught my eye and I like it. BUT I have an honest question to ask and don't mean this as critical at all. I notice that many oil artists paint "thin" so the raw canvas shows through. For some reason I don't like this. Please speak to this if you can.  I understand this can possibly just be my personal taste.

Interesting combination of realistic color harmony/shapes with bold vivid color notes... Quite striking. Definitely a painting that makes you walk across the room!

Thank you, Manneherrin!  I decided the details were beyond me anyway, so I would just go for color and emotion.
