Acrylic on canvas 20"x24
I photographed this Wedged Tail Eagle in a large avairy at a wildlife park. No avairy is big enough to house such a beautiful bird.
This painting is to soon to be auctioned on line as part of a fund raiser for Australia's Foundation For National Parks and wildlife

Thank you all for you comments and feedback. I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out. The initial sketch of the bird was done with white paint and modelling paste so it's quite textured, almost 3 dimensional. The painting was then worked up using paint and glazing medium.
Gorgeous light and colour Richard, hope it makes lots of money for the cause, its a fabulous piece of art!
Very beautiful!
