I find it super nice these days doing these little still life studies. Especially with a simple subject like this which I dont necessarily find particularly interesting, but that really takes the pressure of making a good painting. And its a very good exercise in color, value and edges.

Nice, simple. quiet, little still life ... good job!  Love your transitional colors in the halftones and how you handled your reflected light on the lemon ... nothing is overstated .. nice!
