8 x 10 Panpastel

I have been having another play with my new panpastels. I only have the 3 primaries, violet, black & white as yet. Thought I would try Richards painting. Now I need to do my own setup and have a try with it.

I found a company in Washington state that is  cheaper  it is called  Art supplies unlimited.com they were 20.00 cheaper on the 20 color  landscape  series  and an kit of   palette  spone  knives  for a great price . still  like my oils better as i can not get the fine detail with  the Pan pastels

I was working under difficulties here as the set I bought had the sponges, but not the applicators they fit on, so I had to improvise with an old plastic pallet knife which did not allow me to do fine work. I have sent to Dick Blick for a lot bigger set which includes applicators - the panpastels cost too much here in New Zealand.

All you need is those 3 primaries, just look at all the colors you have created in this painting.  I think you have found your favorite medium................smiles to you........dor:))
