Awesome! Great job, Jon!
Yes!, I agree with Candi about the tree shapes!! .... Jon, that is what I was talking about when it comes to interesting shapes!! .... That is an interesting shape and so is the blue/violet shape behind it. You notice that I did not describe what it is .. I don't care .. it is an interesting shape!! The boat is a great shape also .. creating great negative sky shapes. So, you have all these fantastic shapes ... but then you decide to make a not so good shape with that green mass on the right? BTW, I really love how you linked all of your darks into one large shape that connects to both sides of the canvas ... very well done on that, my friend ... who I keep picking on. :))))
Really nice Jon!!! Agree with Michael, make a ladder and take one out...detracts from your boat. Look how great those palm trees are!
Jon, I did not realize it was scaffolding ... sorry ... but the sameness still bugs me. Anyway, what is that cube shape at the upper rear of the boat? As I stated earlier, a few tweaks and this painting is a winner!!!
Thannks, Michael, ditch the rudder catchin the light or the life preserver? I'll take a ladder (scaffolding) down - (painted this vessel on the instruction of, and with all support provided, by Cap'n Robinson ;D)
Wow Jon, pretty doggone nice!!! I am not getting that cube shape balancing up there at the back? You have a small bright red object at the stern ... it is too high chroma and does not relate to the rest of your painting. One more thing .. ditch one of the latters, or make one of them different. You have a winner here, my friend.
