Michael Thank you so much for taking the time to look and critique my painting. I have revisited it and my shadows are now much better colour with the addition of purple mixed with the darker sand colour. The computer is representing the blue of the sky and the darker portion of the sea far too blue. It is much more subdued in the painting just as well. Thank you again I am much happier with it now.

Diane, try to stay away from black shadow shapes.  Photos do not tell the truth about value and color ... only shapes.  Also, be aware of too much knowledge color saturation ..

Diane, I love the way you represent the palm tree and overall colour combination, very harmonized and natural. A beautiful fine work!
