I am excited to see your little girl. I used bristle brushes as well. I tried using the biggest brush I could as suggested. I recut the pear where I didn't think it was hard edged enough. I' m sure your's will be as lovely as all your paintings are.

Nancy, today I painted notan and value study. I like your value study becouse it is very clean and have definate value on each plane. your value relationship is very logical too. I did not cut the pear correctly the border is not clear. And my brush could not make shape edge of the planes. I use hard natural hair ( bristle? from pig?) What did you use for this value study?  I have uploaded my little girl, please check it and tell me your idea if you have time.
