East fork of the Willamette. This is one of my better plein air studies that I've been doing here at this beautiful campground in Oregon.

Linda, I will message you some ideas for making cool and warm greens. I think that trees, to look dimensional need to have wrm and cool greens. Information is for your next painting or just for you to try and see what you like.

Ann, do you mean the electric greens on the left? Maybe there are too much of those greens. I've been struggling for the past six weeks trying to find colors for the mountain wall of firs here in contrast with the lower bright green dicidious trees. Today I tried handling it a little different but still don't have it. Tomorrow is another day! Thanks Ann!

Nice composition Linda. I would like to see some cooler notes of color to tame those electric greens. I do like the warm more intense color in the foreground, especially the dark blues and greens of the water as it moves out of the painting. Happy painting !

Thanks Robert! I'm having lots of challenges but slowly doing better. Been studying Composition of Outdoor Painting by Edgar Payne which is helping me. Most of all I'm having fun!!!
