Rat Rock Cove

Oil on canvas panel, plein air, 9" by 12". Painted yesterday with my Saturday painting group at China Camp State Park. Lots of beautiful clouds with some thundercaps and even a little lightening, but almost no rain later in the afternoon and no rain from a promised storm last night. Need the rain!!!

I missed not seeing you there; I know you've been real busy and I am very pleased that you are meeting some great outdoor painters who live a lot closer to you. Our next MOSPAG paintout is on 3/28/2015, 9 am to 5 pm at McInnis Park and Mark Monsarrat is going to do the morning demo and go easel to easel like Michael did. You will get a save the date email from me this week and a follow up email closer to the date. One of the other paintings I posted here ("Gallinas Creek") was painted at the spot where the demo will be; there are 360 degree killer views from this spot!!!!
