yes! Lori I did this on purpose for the reds' to shimmer through the golden yellow… I always paint on an toned surface.  Thank you for your comments.

Fun! I like the way you seem to have toned with red then over painted with golden yellow...not sure if that's actually your process? Wonderful form ...kudos!
