Painted this in 2011 in a 1 day workshop. It was a large painting, over 16 X 20 but can't remember the exact size. A couple months ago I painted this again in a 9 X 12 for my Granddaughter.

Thanks Michael!  Actually this is the first time I was instructed in a more loose and creative approach.  I could have never accomplished it on my own.  But I can paint it by myself now!  The first thing the instructor did was to have us make a large pile of black with Alizarin Crimson and Phthalo Green.  It gave a nice backdrop and we used this color to mix with some other colors as well. The instructor saw my fear when she had us load our brush with the blue mixture and give one long sweep of paint on the cloth.  So she took my brush and made the first stroke!
