I took a workshop with Kelli Folsom yesterday. I love her loose painterly style and I too want to be a bit loose. Workshops are always good, as they force you to see things differently and pull you out of your comfort zone. I strongly recommend taking workshops and diving in. (The painting is not complete and has some artistic no-no's but I feel it still looks good in its current state and worth sharing).

I agree with you Faisal ...the "no no's" are no big deal ....This is a beautiful painting, and all that matters to me is the glowing light taking you across to the yellow rose!!  .....:)

Thanks all.

Linda you can sign up for Kelly Folsom's workshop.  Find her on the web.  She is a very good instructor.

Betsy, one thing that sticks out is how the beam of light is tangent to the buckets handle… also the orange is almost kissing the bucket… and then there are minor and major things like that… no big deal….
