Sure Ann, this is part of a series of paintings which are essentially ski portraits of famous pro snowboarders who live in Jackson hole, WY. Jeremy Jones, is the figure in this one and I was just trying to coodinate an image/protrait of him in the Tetons. Not necessarily so literally as part of the mountain, that kinda just happened because I didnt want to paint his hat....haha. and niether of the figures are in real/literal space (this was painted from three seperate photos). There is no skiing from where the view of the snowboarder is seen here because the tetons all line up and the valley is totally flat, hence the name Jackson 'Hole'. So this is probably confussing, but what Im trying to say is this is intended to be a bit more conceptual and less literal in the depiction of realistic space, while still striving for naturalism. That's why the mountains are so disappointing... really bad painting. But like I said I worked hard on them and so I appreciate very much you interest and comments. Thanks SO much:)
Will you explain it too me ? Emotions ? Is the large figure apart of the mountain ?
