Thanks Jessica!
Yes!...I liked his suggestion, so I made the sign a little taller
and added red on upper part. Now I feel better.( it was easier than adding a figure)
Thank you so much everyone for helping me.

Enjoying this painting, Hyun, and reading Thomas' suggestions (seems like an excellent idea) - the subtle colour variations everywhere in your work are so beautiful!

Yes, Ann! I'll take Thomas' suggestion....Isn't it a great idea?....:))

and... I love to fine colors from "so ordinary, plain things" and play with them.

I appreciate your supporting comment.Thank you so much Ann.

Beautiful bright sunny day ! I hope you try Thomas's suggestion to place a figure and then post it. I love the light and dark shadow patterns on the sidewalk, I'm not sure how you do it but you make a concrete sidewalk look beautiful

Jane, you make a common scene very interesting. I like it very much. You handled those subtle value and hue changes are so well.

I think your painting works as is, just and enjoyable day filled with light and color.....a bit more color on that sign may help with a focal point however....

Hi Hyun.....So I notice on the left of you're painting a sign post. What if , instead of that sign you replaced it with a figure walking up the road.....walking to the right of the painting......That would be a great placement for a center of interest, and walking to the right would lead the viewers eye to the figure than to the right of you're painting.....The figure could be subtle.....OR...just punch that sign up a bit with a touch of red.....that would attract the viewers eye and would be an easy fix, and keep you're painting from looking too contrived..........I think thats easy and best.........
