Timothy, a class that I took a couple of years ago had us painting from other artist's works we found in books or magazines. I had just taken a trip to Hawaii and was still dazzled by the color that filled all my senses, so while painting these colors wanted to come out and swim. It looks nothing like the painting I was working from except the single tree and bushes around it.

This painting was one of my first and gave it to my sister for Christmas
