Acrylic on 10x8x0.3" ampersand panel. This is the second painting I've done from the same sketch. The first was painted on a 10x8" canvas board. I think that I preferred painting on the panel.

Lawrence, this was the first time that I have done anything on this kind of surface.  Maybe it was the novelty that appealed to me.  Time will tell as I've bought a couple more panels to mess around with.

Hi Stephen, I tried an oil painting on Ampersand "Gessobord" and didn't enjoy the experience very much at all. (It ended up okay and somebody bought it so it was a worthwhile exercise). But I could imagine acrylics might work better.
