Christine, yes, I think I see where you're coming from regarding the portrait. I've made a small adjustment now.

The shadow line on the shoulder Michael, I know it as correct to the photo - but cameras do their 'own thing' and it might be worth exploring :-)

Christine,  I tried to paint pretty much what I saw, with a few changes. I'll check your points against the set-up - note the spotlight was just above the bunch, slightly behind and on the left.

Flowers are gorgeous, could lift them off the canvas and put them in a vase! For me, the cast shadow seems to have the wrong angle, and doesn't follow perspective - the beautiful flowers are floating against the background. Maybe it needs a subtle cue in the background, to indicate where the back edge of the surface is?
