Graphite drawing - approx 8" x 10" size paper - Lesson out of book called Drawing on The Right Side of the Brain. This was the FIRST exercise in the book. The drawing was done upside down. When finished you flip it over to right side up and there you had your drawing that looked almost perfect! Amazing.

Hi Giselle,  If you will look at my gallery, all of the drawings came from either the exercises in the Rt Brain book or from the knowledge I gained enabling me to attempt to draw the difficult subjects.  It is a great book....do the exercises!  Ro  (Check out the Amazon.com used books in "excellent condition"..save a bundle and they look new! )

Exactly, Peter. The right side of the brain just draws "what it sees". The left side draws what it thinks it knows. So, many people think they can not draw. The book teaches you to "at will" turn on your right side of the brain and ignor the left side that thinks it knows it all. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.mikekrebs.com/pic... Print this out and turn it upside down and draw it upside down! No peaking draw it all before you flip it over. ///// I went through the book with about 6 ladies and each of our drawings were really good. We did not think we could draw so it was pretty amazing. //// I learned from the book so many different "tricks - methods" that just flat out work, that I had the confidence to attempt the turkey and then the elk that is in my gallery. //// Had I not have at least believed in the teacher in the book I would have looked at Igor and thought "you have to be kidding me". It was the first lesson! Great book if you do the exercises (and I did). I would recommend it to anyone. Ro
