Lyndia, forgive me if I have mentioned this to you before (I tell everyone). Have you discovered Richard's Gamut Mask? My suggestion is to open the mask and try to figure out what colors the person used to paint the painting you are copying. After a while, I believe you will be able to "mix up those colors" and use them to do your own paintings. Here is the link..... http://www.livepaintinglessons.com/gamutmask.php On the right of that page is several little boxes with "?" in the corner. Click on the "?" and it explains the adjustments. After you put a mask over the color wheel, you can used your mouse to turn the color wheel or even move the mask around. At the bottom of the screen there are several paintings showing how RR used the mask to paint some paintings. The key is to mix up a good sample of colors and values then start to paint. You can do it!!! I spent an entire day once looking at RR paintings and finding the mask that fit. Pretty amazing! Ro
