A dear character who I find impossible to paint. I only captured a little bit of who he is sadly.

Oh and did you upload the horse painting? The one I found did not look like it was painted on black canvas with yellow ochre, though it was quite lovely all the same ;)

Hi Deborah!

Actually you gave me a great idea! Digitally, there are no colour names, just a colour wheel where you pick from or a mixer pad where you can create colours to put on your palette.  I just thought about trying to identify real paint colours digitally. But I would have to include other dynamics like smoothness and  opacity settings. *thinks about it*  I'm going to try to make some paintings with my digital tries of a colours like Alizarin and Yellow Ochre or Burnt Sienna! Thank you that just never occured to me!

The painting is purposely dark, but it depends a bit on the monitor, sometimes he comes out really too dark if the monitor settings are too different from mine and the subtlety is lost. (but it's also a bit old. 2008, so I like to think I've improved ;) )

I'm hopping over to your gallery to see that specific piece of yours, and no doubt, a few others :)  I'm quite curious

Do you have the color yellow orche to use when you do these digital?  I did a horse on black canvas using yellow orche and white oils, it turned really well!
