Chalice and Peach

Learning Points:
1. Fuzzy peach. I put the colors where I wanted them, exactly as I saw them. Then blended with a soft brush. Then added the darker colors in places again, especially where they were showing through the "fuzz" and soft blended again.
2. Silver/shiny...my favorite thing to paint. I painted the reflections, then soft blended the background color up to the edge of the chalice, then added the white light reflection on the lip and took a very soft brush a just "flicked" it with my wrist a little to make it shine.
3. The shadow of the peach was different. At first, I painted a regular shadow, darker nearer the peach and then blended out, but it did not look right, so I took 5 minutes and studied the shadow of the fruit from different angles, and when I stepped back some, I could see the slight color reflection on the table, and when I painted it in, I loved it.
