"Reconstitute"
Oil on Clay Board.
9x12 inches

I will put learning points tomorrow. It is late, going to sleep now.

Learning Points:
1. Different textures; how to show the plastic of the bottle next to the very shiny metal of the picture. I kept the plastic reflection very light by adding some white to the already mixed yellow and added the "almost mirrow" reflections of the lemon; near the lemon and up on the rim
2. I painted th shine of the pitcher very loosely using the colors that I saw reflecting without putting too much detail; for instance; I could see my reflection in the pitcher but did not add it.
3. Mixing greens...ugh..I used a couple of different mixtures. Platho green blue shade and white, Platho green yellow shade with white and yellow ochre, and Ivory black and cadmuim yellow.
4. Painting on a different surface. This is clay board, specifically Pastelbord by Ampersand which is for pastles but can be used for anything. It is pretty absorbent, but not too bad. It gives you a lot of control on the hard surface with a little tooth for clean lines. I will be using it more often. It is also very matt, dries faster and come in a lot of toned colors. This one was a nuetral grey tone.
4. Under-sketch. Because of the surface it was great to do a rough sketch in a red conte crayon first and then I sealed it with a final fixative before painting. I could have done much more on this surface first in a complete charcoal grissale and will try that on a future one.

I love the reflection of the lemon on the rim, Pandalena.

Your creamer shines, your reflections are excellent in this painting. I like the humor of including the lemon as a companion to this stylish piece
