Jon, Thanks for your attention and comment. I am not very sure what I am doing but have a lot of fun.
Another highly personal one - I find these ones very refreshing and strong
Mimi, you are so right. This is an very old house and a lot of things happened there. Historico.
Feels like a story!
Susan, Thanks. Thank you for your encouragement. I need it.
Laura, You are such a nice and kind girl. When I am wandering and struggleing about how to finish it, I read your comment. It makes me laughing. What an efecient way to encourage you friend and enrich her imagination. Anyway, in order not let you down, I will try my best and let you see it again in Oct.
Charles, I appreciate your valuable suggestion indeed. I am wandering and looking for the way to finish it. I will come back from China in Oct. I will finish it then and let you know to see how you view it. Thanks again, Charles.
Ningning, you may have "painted fast with mistakes" but you caught what is important! That shaft of sunlight and the shadow on the door, the sense of space,of warmth and coolness...very nice!
Great broken colors Ningning! Not at all, Ningning. You art a great artist. Do what ever just follow your mind. Very interesting painting.
This is an interesting use of color and light. Will be look for the final painting. Think about the light source and whether it would create cast shadows of the figure at the door and across the street. Adding shadowing would reinforce the viewer's one-point perspective from the foreground hallway across the street to the red door.
