30 cm x 50 cm, Oil, Pleinair

Two days after painting it, i consider this my best painting yet. It has something that all my others don't have, more personality, something this photo does not really tell. I do not know what it is exactly but I am sure if you where standing next to me here, most of you would agree. It does have its flaws, too careless with the suggestion of the details.

Thanks a lot Manneherrin!
On bold paint application... it has been better since i learned from Thomas W about his palette size... huge. Found his advice crucial...

Wow, blows me away to read your comments, like Laura I enjoy all! Than you all very much, in particular Lori and Michael for the thought on specific aspects of composition. I think in pleinair painting a fully thought strategy to good composition is virtually impossible but can only obtained by training the eye. For this it is important to have a proper analysis and discussion after it's done. Thanks a lot!
To add my own thoughts: i think i missed a chance to get a clear dominent value by not reducing the level of those trees in the very back. With more sky the scene may get more depth and calmness.
