One of those stunning views you often happen upon in Provence....through an old stone arch into the sunlight over the old tiled roofs & beyond...

Thank you, Robin for your comment!
Hi Silvana - thank you so much for your encouraging comments! I'm glad you like it! The scene itself was so beautiful, painting it was a pleasure!
OK, thanks, I realize now that you'd already said which village it was. Makes it even better that there's water!
Jessica! This painting is wonderful and stunning! I love it! It says soooo much.... I particularly like the reading of nature from a settlement... the stream, sea/lake and mountains. All seems to be far away, but it's not! Really like it!
I appreciate your comment very much Kim, thank you!
Fab painting Jessica. The depth, composition and tones are great!
Thanks for your kind comments, Sharon! Jon - glad this speaks to you - my husband lived in Paris for a few years as a teenager & we have spent our holidays in France for almost 10 years & love it. This is Miramas le Vieux, which we happened upon on our way to the airport in Marseilles, looking for a good restaurant for lunch (which we found, incidentally!) I am always amazed that there are so many gems like this which seem to be completely "off the tourist trail"
What can I say, it's my 'place' - so it speaks very strongly to me. Which village was it, Jessica?
Beautiful, love the depth you captured
