Humble opinions are appreciated too.  :)  It is very grey but that is actually how the photo looks that I painted it from.  The sand is from the ground up rock and it has a lot of grey quartz, plagioclase, and dark biotite in it.  Maybe I should have taken some artistic license and changed it.  Oh well.  The whole painting is a little darker than I like but I don't really feel like "correcting" it.  But thanks, Craig, for your input.

The rocks are very impressive , but the water or sand seems too gray , my humble opinion.
