It makes the colors in the cliff really vibrant. Maybe a little more green in the background lower right side. Just a touch. : )

Comment by Dee Berridge on May 19, 2012 at 19:58: Excellent Li. This is a very uplifting painting, full of poetry and the promise of day in an awe-inspiring place. It really does feel like sunrise with that lovely golden glow bathing these foreground columns and gradually dissolving the cool shadows as it moves across the waking canyon, just as it has for billions of years... I can feel it heating up! One thing I'd change, I think you could soften the horizon and push it back more...that far rim is probably 10 miles/15 km away!
