I almost understand. Mostly I see a great amount of time to do this. I could just keep on and keep on bragging on you, but I wouldn't want it to go to your head. LOL Go right ahead and thing you are great, I DO! Love ya, Ro

Very tiny little spots of color. The white lines you see around the colored spots is the white of the paper. I could show you how I do it. I can say that I didn't draw anything. It's mostly negative painting where I started painting around the form I wanted to create which were the flowers.

Peg, this is my all time fav I think, and there are those same colors you used in the crane pic that I also liked so much. You say you can do anything in WC. I have yet to see anyone else beable to do this type painting in WC. I just look and look, but I have no clue how you could do this painting. Just beautiful. Ro

Thank you so much Elaine. I was able to save this painting from the ones that the gallery destroyed to receive insurance money, I assume, so they could stay in business. I haven't worked in watercolor for some time, but I always loved the medium. You can do anything in watercolor. I find it much easier than oils for some reason.

My goodness your work is so varied and interesting Peggy. I've not seen anything like it. You must have an enormous amount of inspired energy to create such great works.

Well, I appreciate it:) I had never been outside the continent prior to July 09 so my travels have been few. There is a lot of conversation and advertising from China these days and what I have personally experienced and found out from others is that the Chinese artists want to put international shows on their bio's so by attracting US or European artists to China and having shows with them, they get the international show. Mine was not fun. I don't know if I send the link to you, but I wrote my "politically" correct version of what happened to me while in China on my blogspot. www.peggyguichu.blogspot.com. The reason I put it on that blog instead of my website blog is because China does not allow any blogs to be read. They still have 12 of my paintings at the gallery and if they read the blog they would probably burn them. But if you want to read it go to my blogspot.

They say we are going to have some cooling down soon. I'm ready! Great hearing from you. Peg

You're so sweet. Thanks. I almost lost that painting with my Santa Fe gallery fiasco, but it survived with just a bit a damage and a lot of broken glass. I was just writing you a note. Hope you had fun and welcome back.

798 Art District in Beijing, China is where I had my show at "He Gallery." Don't be fooled into thinking that it looks anything like Soho. Not even close! But it is considered the mecca of the art scene in Beijing. There must be 500 galleries in the one area. Some good, but most of them subprime in quality. The woman that set up my show is opening an auction house there now.
