There were approximately 70 houses to see and i didn't find a convincing pattern of shapes and colors to represent this complexity. I also had a hard time with some of the colors... I just couldn't hit them, eg the roof top of the church. I redid several times without getting closer to observation really. Guess it much a question of form of the day. Glad there is something likeable in it though, thank you!
Anyway I am happy i did this because it added 2 more hours on my plein air clock.... i take much motivation to work outside from these words from Barry Raybould about a master's work "fantastic colors, he must have spent thousands of hours painting outside"

Comment by Aurelia Sieberhagen on April 13, 2015 at 18:36: Lovely brushwork and colours as always, but the rooftops look like a pile of rocks/bricks. The only thing that tells me it is a little town is because of the church and round structure in the front. Your trees and landscape are beautifully done.

It may be only my perception, but I find some of the house/roof shapes a little bit confusing - but maybe it's deliberately done to keep the abstract feeling?
