Trying to do more of these small studies - thought I could paint one outside, but it's 42 degrees C (107 F) today, so it was much more comfortable inside - a shadow box is very useful! Learning how important the background is as well.

Thanks, Saghi!
Thanks, Maria - these little paintings are actually quite fun - but take a surprisingly long time to finish!
Really love this apple painting Jessica. You are learning heaps from the small studies.
Nice to hear from you Dor! Thank you very much!
WowZa
That is a beautiful apple, so real looking I want to grab and eat it right now............Very juicy! Smiles to you..................
Thanks so much Julia & Ann for your encouraging comments!
Great job doing the texture on the apple while still making it look shiny and clean color. The dark red background makes it stand out, the variegation of color on the background also adds interest.
Thank you everyone for such nice comments!
Silvana, I won't be able to do one every day, so meantime I haven't joined the workshop. I found out tonight that painting a green apple is much easier for me than painting a dark red apple! This one didn't get eaten yet!
Great work. Jessica . It looks fantastic.
