Tom I like this a lot. You have used the portrait size to it's full advantage with lots of movement into an outstanding realistic mountain range. You've managed good atmospheric perspective along side your strong contrasting color in your middle ground. At first I thought the yellow was too strong but it works nicely. My only suggest would be to have the value of the sloping range slightly higher then the green mountain on the left as is it seems too dark and it blocks the eye movement to the glow you have successfully caught in the upper right sky area. Maybe more simply put the lighter sun filled plain needs to be linked up to the lighter blues in the mountains there is no path to get there.

Your sun hit snow patches in the foreground simple shimmer with light nicely done.
